HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON - THE FILM

On March 15, 2010 in anticipation of the release of the film How To Train Your Dragon DreamWorks Animation released what they called "an animated video micro series" of six shorts, each one showcasing a different dragon, and ALL featuring David Tennant's narration.

David also voiced Spitelout in the animted series Dragon Riders of Berk.

The film was released in the US on March 26, 2010 and in the UK on April 4, 2010 and was directed by Chris Sanders and Dean DeBlois, the producer was Bonnie Arnold.

The film's domestic gross was $217,581,231 and they held the number one spot for their opening weekend with $43,732,319.

The DVD was released in the US on October 15, 2010.

David is the voice of the audiobook series in the UK and he also voiced the mini promotional videos that came out a week before the film, so I think most fans were surprised to find that he has only 5 lines in the actual film!

The name of the Viking David voiced is Spitelout. And according to one source he also supplied additional voices for some of the other Vikings of Berk.

Thanks to EmmaJaneMurdock for helping with the audio, well spotted.

David's five lines are: Get inside, I'm with you Stoick, We've done it!,

Then less audible, Light the torches and Right, and way in the background, Everyone to the far side of the island.
