David Tennant did the voice over for the 2010 Scottish SPCA appeal. 

The film was shot in Glasgow and Hamilton in February 2010 and was directed for The Gate Films, by Cosmo Wallace.

The director of photography was Paul O'Callaghan and the background music is from the film American Beauty, written by Thomas Newman

"Rolf, the three-legged pup with the head cone, was a neglected eight-month dog
who’d had his foot amputated the day before we turned up to shoot. He played with us for two hours, and was the loveliest animal I’ve ever worked with."
