Acting on the radio is challenging, inspiring, delicate and always a privilege.

DOCTOR WHO CONFIDENTIAL: NEW DIMENSIONS

New Dimensions was the first Doctor Who Confidential, it was shown prior to the broadcast of the re-launch of the new series starring Christopher Eccleston

The hour long show was narrated by David Tennant, little did we know at the time of transmission that he was about to become Doctor number ten!

The show not only looked at the new series, using clips and interviews from series executive producers Russel T. Davies and Julie Gardner, Billie Piper, the Doctor's companion, Rose and Eccleston himself, but it also looked back at the long history of Doctor Who from the 60's through to the 90's, when the show was last seen.

There were also clips from other celebrities talking about their love of the show and past Doctors, Peter Davison, Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy and Tom Baker.

The show aired on March 26, 2005, 6:30 pm, on BBC One, normally Confidential aired on BBC Three, right after that week's Doctor Who episode, which airs on BBC one.  (Following that are ya!)

The director was Gillane Seaborne, who produced Monty Python in Aberystwyth, Doctor Who: The Infinite Quest, Doctor Who Greatest Moments, My Sarah Jane: A Tribute to Elisabeth Sladen, and Totally Doctor Who.

David's narration, after editing, only spoke for 5 minutes!
