LABOUR PARTY

During the 2010 UK General Election David added his voice to several of the Labour Party ads, which were available online and broadcast on terrestial television.

There was a double Doctor Who connection on two of them, Sean Pertwee, son of the second Doctor, appeared in the first ad called The Road Ahead and the fifth Doctor, Peter Davison, appeared in the third ad.

The Road Ahead was broadcast on Monday, April 12th at 5.55pm on BBC2, 6.25pm on ITV1, 6.55pm on BBC1, 7.25pm on Five and 7.55pm on Channel 4.

Tennant's lines from the first ad: ''We have been through tough times, but by staying on the right road, we can make Britain the country we all want it to be, to build a future that is fair for all of us.''

The second Party broadcast, April 15th, Brilliant Britain, featured Eddie Izzard and the third ad, April 21st, Our Future, with Peter Davison with David providing the ending once again on both.

The fifth and final advert, called Sixty Seconds, aired May 3rd and features Ross Kemp and a whole host of celebritie seen casting their ballets at the end.

Second ad text: "We love our country and want the best for it, that's why we want a future that's fair for all of us." 

Third ad text: "This election will decided the direction of our country, right now and in the future, and now things are still fragile, which is why now is not the time to switch teams and head off in a different direction. 

We are on the road to recovery, but we are not there yet.  So think about your future, think about your job, your home, your family and think about voting for a future fair for all."

Fifth ad text: "It only takes sixty seconds to vote but in that time there's a lot at stake, so think about your future, think about your job, your home, your family and think about voting for a future fair for all."

SCOTTISH LABOUR PARTY

Text: "Scotland is a proud nation, proud of our country, proud of our people and proud of what we do together.  The selection is a two horse race.  We love our country and want the best for it. That's why we want a future that's fair for all of us."

David also contributed his voice to The Scottish Labour Party video, Remember the Tories, seen from April 13, 2010

The advert in 2012 was called Scottish Labour - Putting You First and was concerning the local council elections coming up on May 3, 2012. 

It was uploaded to the web on April 9 2012 and was broadcast on Scottish TV on April 11, 2012.

There was a plain white wall set up on in a road and different people were drawing items on the wall to create a mural and talk about the issues.
