ELISABETH SLADEN: THE AUTOBIOGRAPHY

Elisabeth, best
known for her portrayal of Sarah Jane Smith, a journalist who became the
companion of the 3rd and 4th incarnations of The Doctor.
In the course of her various appearances in specials and the new series Elisabeth shared the screen with nine of the eleven Doctor's.
Her character proved to be the most beloved of all of the Doctor's companions. When Russel T. Davies brought her character back in the new Doctor Who, reuniting Sarah Jane with the tenth Doctor, David Tennant, allowing a whole new generation of fans to discover her.
She was then offered her own series called The Sarah Jane Adventures which was in the middle of filming its fifth series when she succumbed to cancer and passed away on April 19, 2011. This was a few short months after she had finished writing her autobiography, which was published posthumously on December 2, 2011 and then in paperback on October 1, 2012.

David, himself a great Doctor Who fan, grew up watching Elisabeth on the show and had a great admiration and respect for the actress.
