Acting on the radio is challenging, inspiring, delicate and always a privilege.

How To Speak Dragonese is the third in the dragon series by Cressida Cowell and was published in 2005.

Hodder Children's Books in the UK released the audio version, narrated by David Tennant, on July 6, 2006.  Hachette Children's Books in the US released the audiobook on April 22, 2010.

The runtime is 3 hours and 12 minutes over 4 CD's.

Synopsis: "Climbing onto a Roman Dragon Rustling ship by mistake in your first "Boarding an Enemy Ship" lesson is bad enough.

But then discovering Alvin the Treacherous is also on board proves to Hiccup he couldn't have been more wrong, especially when Alvin steals his copy of How to Speak Dragonese.  Can Hiccup save the dragons and the day?"

The Times - November 12, 2005 - Amanda Craig

"...the audiobooks, brilliantly read by the new Dr Who, David Tennant "

The Daily Telegraph - December 16, 2006 - Carole Mansur

"A fast-paced, witty tale of the rescue attempt follows, complete with splendid digressions into a bestiary of dragons. David Tennant brilliantly interprets the book's hectic design, shifting accent and tone."
