Acting on the radio is challenging, inspiring, delicate and always a privilege.

DOCTOR WHO: SCREAM OF THE SHALKA

Scream of the Shalka was the first officially licensed, fully animated Doctor Who story.

The flash-animated series was produced in 2003, and shown in six episodes, starting on November 13 and running through December 18. Each ten minute episode was uploaded on Thursday at noon.

The animation was done by Cosgrove Hall in Manchester, they were responsible for many great British cartoons such as Jamie and the Magic Torch, Chorlton and the Wheelies, Postman Pat and Danger MouseSadly the company closed in 2009.

Shown on the BBC's Doctor Who website, to mark the 40th anniversary of the show's first broadcast on November 23, 1963.

David Tennant was not originally cast as one of the actors, but he was recording a radio play when he found out about the Doctor Who project recording next door.

Dyed in the wool fan boy that he is, he convinced the director to let him have a small part.

He has a few uncredited lines as the caretaker that gets quickly killed!

Derek Jacobi voiced The Master and then appeared as The Master with David in the 2008 Doctor Who episode Utopia.
